It is advisable to have more than one anchor on any boat. Your Bower (main) anchor may suit a given seabed better than another, therefore a secondary anchor may give you a better holding option if your bower isnt performing as hoped. You can improve an anchor's holding power by lengthening the chain (more weight) and/or lengthening the warp (increasing the scope).
