Mooring Warps
Liros 3-strand polyester is made from 100% polyester to DIN83331 standard, this rope has high strength and abrasion resistance and will retain its flexibility throughout its life. Available in white and navy. It has stretch characteristics of up to 15% at the breaking point.
Liros braided Docklines are constructed from 100% Polyester making them extremely tensile and resistant to abrasion, whilst the special twine construction assures high elasticity and flexibility throughout its life. It has stretch characteristics of 15% at the breaking point.
Liros Moorex 12 is the all new mooring warp from Liros. Constructed from high tenacity polyester in a hollowbraid 12 plait, this high elasticity mooring warp gives 20% stretch at the breaking point (the same as Nylon) and yet still delivers good strength.
Liros 3-strand Nylon and Anchorplait nylon also make for good mooring warps with excellent strength and stretch (20%). However, the nature of Nylon means that it will not stay as soft and easy to use as polyester when used frequently for mooring alongside.
Liros 3-strand Hempline is an excellent traditional looking rope whilst Liros 3-strand polypropylene offers a floating alternative. However, neither are as strong as their polyester or nylon equivilents. Therfore, they can only be used on smaller craft with bigger sizes.
Overall we recomend LIROS 3-strand polyester, braided dockline and Moorex 12 for Mooring Warps. They offer the best UV resistance, strength and stretch combination.
