We only send Flares by fully authorised carriers in special packaging to UK Mainland addresses.
This excludes all British Islands and Northern Ireland
Our policy is to send lifejackets, rearming kits, paint, antifouling and fire extinguishers by carrier rather than by Royal Mail,
Saturday Delivery is only available by special arrangement
Therefore if you order before Midday on Friday and select Overnight Delivery your parcel will arrive on Monday,
If you order after Midday on Friday and select Overnight Delivery your parcel will arrive on Tuesday
Sunday delivery is not available

We will always endeavour to deliver your parcel on the earliest possible day. If you inform us that you want it to arrive on a particular day then we will try to accommodate you.
We allow up to 7 working days for delivery because we send out a large number of 'custom' orders e.g. rope with splices, whippings, wire rigging with terminals, webbing jackstays with sewn loops.
If you elect to pay any of the 'Express' surcharges we will then do our utmost to deliver to you within your given time frame.
There are different charges for
- Scottish Highlands and 2 Day Area
N.B. Our carriers classify some Scottish Postcodes as a 2 Day Area even though they are not actually in the Scottish Highlands.
This is beyond our control
- Islands including e.g. Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Scottish Isles and the Channel Islands
- Popular European Destinations
We use Royal Mail First Class for parcels up to 1kg in the UK. This is not currently trackable.
We use Royal Mail for Highlands and Islands where it is the least expensive option.
We use Royal Mail Airmail for International small parcels up to 0.8kg unless the trackable express courier service is selected.
The Trackable Express Courier service is available up to a parcel weight of 15kg. Our shipping module will divide your basket into multiple parcels where necessary.
A Trackable Overland Carrier Service is available to most countries in Europe, maximum parcel weight 50kg
Trackable Overland means it is not available to some islands e.g. Malta
A Trackable Freight Service 50kg -100kg and a Trackable Pallet over 100kg Service is available to most countries in Europe
We regret we are unable to ship goods to North America
If the contents of your basket, combined with your delivery destination, result in our website not being able to generate a shipping price automatically, then 'Quote Required' will appear.
You can still continue with your purchase, then as a matter of urgency, we will obtain a quote from our couriers and email you a link to purchase the shipping online. (This will also generate the 'Quote Required' message, which can be ignored)
If the quote is unacceptable then we can refund the order.
We use DPD and DHL for our Express Deliveries and Tuffnells for our heavy parcels (including pallets) and hazardous parcels.
Carrier deliveries are trackable.
Carrier deliveries require a signature unless you tick the appropriate box in checkout indicating that it is safe to leave the parcel.
Please give instructions for the delivery driver on where it is safe to leave the parcel but please restrict them to one short sentence if possible.
Please note that if you are in a surcharged delivery area then you may enter a separate delivery address e.g. at work which may not be surcharged. This is also a good idea for valuable parcels requiring a signature.

Collect in Store
It is possible to arrange a Collection in Store.
Select your items into your 'basket', proceed to 'Checkout', select United Kingdom as your delivery destination, enter your post code (you can enter the Jimmy Green post code = EX12 3ES if you don't have one in your own address), click OK on the confirmation, select 'Collect in Store' from the 'Select Shipping Method' drop down box.
The charge is currently a nominal £1.
It would be very helpful to give us a collection date. You can either enter it into the 'Leaving Instructions' box or send a separate e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org to explain in more detail.
Please bear in mind that if you have ordered any 'Splicing, Sewing or Fabrication' we will need time to complete your order.
If you have ordered anything which we cannot supply in the time frame you have given us we will notify you immediately, either by e-mail or by telephone.

Making a Purchase
Making a purchase couldn't be easier, just browse the store, and add any items you wish to buy to the shopping basket using the "Add to Cart" button - When ordering make sure you have ordered the correct length, colour etc.
You will need to set the shipping destination before you can proceed to the checkout. This is done in the 'View Basket' page. Setting the shipping destination allows us to calculate the shipping charge.
Once your shipping has been set, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few relevant details that we need to complete the order.
Creating an Account
When you place your first order and fill in all your details our website will automatically create an account for you using your e-mail address as your username. Your password will also be automatically generated and e-mailed to you. Once you have logged in you can then alter your password to something you can remember.
We Accept Credit Card Payment
When your confirmation of order is received, this indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in case either we have made a mistake in pricing, or we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed on our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are not held in clear text on any website. We do not see your number or store it anywhere. The money transaction is handled by "SagePay". Neither Jimmy Green Marine nor SagePay pass your details to any third party.
All prices include VAT where applicable. Deliveries to the Channel Islands and outside the European Union will be VAT free.
If your item is not in stock, we will endeavour to get it to you as soon as possible. We will contact you with the option of cancelling if you would rather not wait.
We endeavour to supply all goods exactly as advertised on our website and promise not to 'switch sell' i.e. substitute another similar product, without prior consent.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the "EU Distance Selling Directive" which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
N.B. If you have made an error in ordering a 'custom' i.e. bespoke product then you are not entitled to a refund. We will however look more favourably on your situation if you are reordering the correct item and offer you a partial credit depending on how 'saleable' we deem the item that you are returning.
If you wish to return an item you have purchased online or on the telephone out of choice i.e. not because of any fault in the item purchased, then we will refund to the value of the goods purchased excluding the delivery charge. The item(s) must be fit for re-sale. You are responsible for the return postage cost. We do not accept liability for returned items that are lost in the post. Therefore, please retain proof of postage. If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, then we may ask you for an additional delivery payment to cover the cost of the second delivery.
If you need to return a purchase because either we have made an error or the item is proven to be faulty then we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs, normally capped at the level which we have charged to deliver the parcel to you (not including any Express Upgrade charges). We cannot be held responsible for unreasonably high postage costs so please check before incurring any cost.
